Albert de la Fuente is a composer and mechanical engineer based in Barcelona (Catalonia, Spain). He grew up in a small town in a family with no musical tradition, and is completely self-taught in composition. He considers that this last fact can be sometimes an advantage, since this has freed him from certain European academic dogmas. He has won several composition awards and his music has been performed in Europe and the United States. He has been a member of the Association of Catalan Composers since 2022.
